Subject: Hong Kong - Day 1
Date: 18 December 2008 (Thursday)
Racia is 1 year, 9 months, 2 weeks and 1 day old today
We are off to Hong Kong today! - Our first official family trip with Racia on a aeroplane. (Our last two trips to Rasa Sentosa and the Star Aquarius Cruise are not counted :P)
All morning flights were fully booked and the earliest flight out that i could get was at 3:30pm.
We packed the whole night and was still packing away this morning.
Nai Nai came along and we left for the airport for 12 noon. There was no time for Racia to nap and she she only slept in on the way to the airport. for 45 minutes.
We went into the transit area at 1:30pm after a quick lunch at the T3 food court. We headed straight for the butterfly garden at T3 but Racia was not impressed with the butterflies. In fact, she was more fascinated with the Disney characters on display there.
We boarded the flight at 3pm and was given priority boarding because of Racia. The flight was quite good and uneventful, Racia was given 2 blue toy on board the flight. She refused her delicious post weaning meal and had bread for dinner. She spent most of the flight walking around and playing with the flight remote control.
We reached Hong Kong International Airport at about 7pm and proceeded straight to the Bus Terminal to board the A21 City Flyer bus to Nathan Road. Bus fare cost us HKD33 per person (cheap). The journey took about 40minutes and it took us across the Tsing Ma Bridge. The Bridge was breathtaking at night.
We checked into our hotel - Hotel Benito located at Cameron Road (Tsim Tsa Tsui). I picked up some dinner at the Maxim fast food restaurant located just opposite out hotel. The bake pork shop rice and char siew rice was delicious (too bad no pictures).
Still packing in the morning, Racia had fun sitting on the luggage.
