Subject: Ikea Tampines #2 - The Pots and Pans

This is the Pots and Pans set which Daddy HAD to buy for Racia because she refused to move away from the play area which had a set displayed for play!

Racia is 1 year, 7 months, 3 weeks and 3 days old today.
We went Ikea Tampines today for Dinner and Racia threw a tantrum when we were shopping!
We went straight to the cafe for dinner when we arrived at 5pm. The place was packed with people and we were lucky we managed to get a table without waiting long. Racia tried french fries again tonight and i can confirm that she didn't like it. ( this is the 4th time i am letting her try french fries). She bit into it eagerly when i first hand it to her and after 2 bites, she decided that it was yucky and gave it back to daddy. She did not want to hold it and she even asked me to remove the remaining 2 fries which i set in front of her. She then went on to eat her really hard to chew ciabatta bread happily which i got at 50 cents per small bun. And she refused the fries when i offered it to her again.
After dinner, we went to the children's section and got stuck there as Racia refused to move from the kitchen set play corner. She was so tiny that she had to tiptoes to play with the pots and pans. When a older girl came and took her pots, she refused to move, just waited for her to leave so she could resume her play. Daddy eventually bought a set for her as he said that this is the first time she refused to move from playing with something.
When we were down at the market place section, Racia thew a tantrum. She wanted to come down and walk by herself when we were at the glassware and crockery section. She slide off my arms and proceeded to touched the saucers at the lower rack. This got a scolding from me. She stood so still on the spot, refused to move, head down, lips turned with eyes looking away - My baby was sulking! i squatted down when i reaslied that she refused to move and explained to her why the section is so dangerous. She finally agreed to hold on hands and walk together.
I wonder if this is the start of the TERRIBLE 2!

Subject: Cute Cute Pose and Table Climbing

Random pictures taken this morning. Racia is perfectly her "Cute Cute" pose in front of the camera and then daddy caught her trying to climb onto the glass table. See how much fun she is having dangling her legs in the air!

Subject: GUG- Tots Class 2
Date: 26 October 2008 - Sunday
Its Racia's 2nd GUG Tots class today and today she has a new teacher Lu Lao Shi. Lu Lao shi conducted a third of the class in Chinese with Chinese songs. I was very pleasantly surprised that there was a Chinese segment Anyway i think this Chinese segment will only happen once every other month.
Today, the children learn about Quiny the Quail and the words "Quiet" and "Quack" (sound made by a duck). For craft, she made sandwiches and as you all can see, her kitty sandwich is almost perfect (with lots of help from daddy of cos)
The children learned about Dog and Cat with Lu Lao Shi and they sang 3 Chinese songs, first about their right and left hand, second on a dog looking for a bone and the third, a song about a cat who loves to eat fish.
Before the start of class, YE shared some really yummy biscuits with Racia

Subject: Reading the Morning Papers

Racia's favourite activity every morning.. reading the morning papers with Nai Nai - Her favourite section - Sports (esp foot ball)..she is great at finding the football in all the photos featured.
Subject: GUG - First Toddlers Class

Today Racia join her new friends (from the march baby gang) - YE and Tian at the new toddlers class at GUG.
Class was pretty OK and it was obvious that the 3 girls were the youngest one in the class. They learn a lot more words in this toddler class as compared to the babies session.
Today's alphabet was P - and zoo animal Peewee Penguin. The children were taught how to walk like Peewee and the craft session was a painted alligator green PURSE.
I am not too keen on the older teacher as I thought i saw her pushing Racia away when Racia walked and stood in front of the story book during story time.
Subject: New Wadrobe and Wall Deco

Racia's new wadrobe finally arrived from Ikea on monday and Daddy managed to set it all up by today.
It consist of 2 tall cupboards plus 2 short one. This set cost us close to $780. Finally a big enough wadrobe for racia's clothes and books.
Daddy also got a set of Pooh ber wall stickers.. see how cute Pooh and friends are on the wall now. 
Subject: Then & Now...19 Months vs 11 Months

Racia wanted to get on her exersaucer today and i managed to snap a few pictures while she was on it. See how much she has grown.

Racia's last class at GUG Babes Class today. Next week, she will be starting Toddlers Class with Tian and YE.
Racia will miss Ms Devi and all her new friends in the babes class.
Today racia learn about Olive the Orange Octopus, Ms Devi even draw an Orange Orange on Racia's left arm during the class.

Milestone: Last Vaccination at 19 Months

Racia is 19 months today! We brought her for her last 5 in 1 vaccination at the Ang Mo Kio Polyclinic.
Subject: Happy Children's Day

We celebrated Children's day today at Terminal 3. Thought it was a great place to bring Racia to run around.
Dinner was at Earl Swensen T3 and because it was children's day, Racia dined for free.
