Subject: New Vegetables - Pearl Beans
Date: 27 July 2008 (Sunday)
Racia is 1 year, 4 months, 3 weeks and 2 days old today

Vanessa's mummy introduced a new veggie to mummy today, its called Pearl Beans. On first glance, Mummy thought it looks like Chinese sausages but when skinned, it actually reveal big white round beans resembling white pearls. Mummy will try and introduce it into Racia's porridge tomorrow.

Subject: No Fever from MMR
Date: 23 July 2008 (Wednesday)
Racia is 1 year, 4 months, 2 weeks and 5 days old today

Today is the 12th day from Racia's MMR vaccination. Racia is all clear from MMR related fever.
Racia is really lucky that she did not develop any fever from her MMR jab as the nurse mentioned that 90% of the babies do get fever from this vaccination.

Next, her 2nd Pneumococol vaccine.

Racia has new shoes... her Ryder size 6 rubber sandals, now Racia has got the perfect shoe to wear to the beach and to the pool.

Milestone: MMR at AMK Polyclinic
Date: 12 July 2008
Racia is 1 year, 4 months, 1 week and 1 day old today.

Racia finally went for her MMR today at AMK Poly clinic today. We had to postponed this appointment by 1 month as she came down with a terrible flu at our last scheduled date when she was 15 months.

At 16 months, she now weights 9kg. Mummy is so happy that she has finally hit the 9kg mark. The nurse refused to measure her height citing that Racia's height was taken a month back when she was at the clinic, mummy is puzzled why the nurse refused and think that its because she was lazy!

Racia was a really brave little girl today, she cried when the jab was administered into her left arm but she soon calmed down after mummy and daddy distracted her.

The nurse refused to give us the liquid paracetamol, she says there is only tablet form available and Mummy chose not to take it.

Today is also Da Jiu's birthday, Happy Birthday to Da Jiu Jiu from Daddy, Mummy and Racia.

Subject: Underwater World and Pink Dolphin Lagoon
Date: 6 July 2008 (Sunday)
Racia is 1 year 4 months and 2days old today

Racia met some big fishy friends today! And one of them is this big and cute pink dolphin at the Sentosa Pink Dolphin Lagoon.

Mummy and Daddy decided to make a last minute trip down to Sentosa after kindermusik today as daddy wanted to bring Racia to the Underwater World. The place was packed with both locals and tourist and Racia was amazed looking at the huge moray eels, sting rays, nurse sharks and potato cods in the huge glass aquarium. We even went three rounds around the glass tank.

As the tickets included the Dolphin Lagoon, Mummy and Daddy specially made a trip down. The show was over but Racia managed to see and take a picture with one of the pink dolphin who stayed behind for the photo session. The picture cost $15 but Racia had fun as she actually touched the dolphin during the photo session. In fact, this photo is now Racia's favourite photo.

Subject: Graduation - Kindermusik Dew Drop
Date: 6 July 2008 (Sunday)
Racia is 1 year, 4 months and 2 days old today.

Racia graduated from her 3rd semester - Dew Drop at Kindermusick today. Mummy and daddy has decided to let Racia continue for one more term as this will be Ms Shauna's last term with kindermusick before she relocates to Shanghai where her husband is now working.

New term starts next Sunday and the theme is Hickory Tickory Tock.

Subject: Racia is 16 months today
Date: 4 July 2008 (Friday)
Racia is 1 year 4 months old today

Racia is 16 months today!!!

How time flies, Racia can now walk on her own without support and on a few occasion, Mummy has caught Racia trying to run!.

Racia has also graduated to eat more textured food and also Mummy has started to introduced a greater variety of food to Racia. Racia do get to occasionally sample Daddy and Mummy's food when we eat out. So far, mummy found that Racia loves noodles and porridge but she dun really like her rice with soup.

Subject: 2nd Studio Shoot at FotoU
Date: 5 July 2008 (Saturday)
Racia is 1 year 4 months and 1 day old today

We had our 2nd studio photo shoot today and it was a nightmare!

Racia was super un-cooperative, she refused to stay still in the shoot area, refused to be carried, refused to look into the camera, arefused to smile and all she wanted to do was to run to the play area (in the studio) and play with the toys there. Nothing mummy or daddy do could distract her even photographer Ben had a hard time getting her to co-operate!

Surprising, Ben managed to captured about 80 plus pictures in the 1 hour session and out of the all the pictures, mummy picked close to 50 good shots. Not too bad for such a "terrible" session.
