Milestone: First trip to the Zoo
Date: 26 April 2008 - Saturday
Racia is 1 years, 1 months 3 weeks and 2 days old today

Racia made her first trip to the zoo today!! Daddy and Mummy set off at 9am in the morning and we reached the zoo at 10am!

First stop was the Splash Amphitheatre to see the Penguin and Seal show at 11am. Racia was fascinated by the seals and penguins slashing around, however, half an hour into the show, Racia started fussing. It was close to her lunch time and Mummy decided to leave the show early and proceed to lunch. Racia fussed during lunch and didn't eat much. She was tired and wanted to nap. Mummy and Daddy stayed in the Forest Restaurant while Racia napped for 1 hour while Daddy and Mummy enjoyed the buffet spread in the blissfully cool air-conditioned restaurant.

After lunch and her nap, Daddy and Mummy continued to hunt down the Meerkats exhibits. along the way, Racia saw Flamingos, Elephants, White Tiger, Giraffe, Hippopotamus, Kangaroos, Komodo Dragon, Lama (which Racia particularly likes, cos she talked non stop to the Lamas at their exhibit), Long Neck Turtles, Otters, Sea Cow, Lion, Polar Bear etc. Mummy finally found the Meerkats after 4 hours at the zoo, they were so tiny!!! And Racia didn;t particularly seem excited to finally see her BeeBees!

Milestone: Nodding her Head
Date: 20 April 2008 - Sunday
Racia is 1 years, 1 month, 2 week and 2 days old today

Racia has been displaying some really cute behaviour lately. Today, Mummy found Racia nodding her head non stop.
She seemed to have discovered that she can nod to say Yes.

When Mummy correctly picks up an item that Racia pointed for, Racia will nod her head and say Yes.

Racia has become a "yes" baby today. She was even nodding her head as Mummy pushed her around the mall in her stroller.

Milestone: My Mummy's a FTWM
Date: 17 April 2008 - Thursday
Racia is 1 years, 1 month, 1 week and 6 days old today

Today, Mummy's status has changed to Full Time Working Mum (FTWM).
She leaves for work at 7:30am and do not get home till close to 8pm. Itis not easy adjusting to being a FTWM, Mummy misses Racia terribly at work.

It is going to take a while for both Racia and Mummy to adjust to this new change. (Think its affecting mummy more than Racia)

In the meantime, Mummy will stick to Racia like glue from friday evenings all the way to Sunday night!

Milestone: Mummy's last day of a SAHM
Date: 16 April 2008 - Wednesday
Racia is 1 years, 1 month, 1 week and 5 days old today

Today is Mummy's last day of being a SAHM. She will be returning to the work force tomorrow. And Racia will be taken care by Nai Nai from tomorrow onwards.

Mummy has mixed feelings, a part of her feels excited going back to work but a part of her feels sad that she has to leave Racia behind.

Mummy is going to miss her baby badly when she goes to work tomorrow.

Mummy hopes that both Racia and her will adjust to this new change quickly and smoothly.

Milestone: Climbing out of her cot
Date: 16 April 2008 - Wednesday
Racia is 1 years, 1 month 1 week and 5 days old today

Racia managed to climb out of her cot today.

Mummy had put Racia in her cot while she attended to other duties. As usual, Racia fussed, wanting to get out. Mummy ignored her and the next moment, Mummy heard a loud thud. Racia had manged to climbed out of the cot by herself and landed on mummy's bed next to the cot.

Mummy had a bad scare. It was lucky that Racia's cot was placed just next to Mummy's bed. Mummy cannot imagine if Racia had fallen to the floor instead.

Racia's cot bars were raised again tonight.

Racia has a new friend. Her Ty Beanie Pal - Pink Froggie - Kissable affectionately known as "Kiss Kiss".

Racia loves hugging Kiss Kiss.

Milestone: Caught Standing Up on High Chair
Date: 10 April 2008 - Tuesday
Racia is 1 years, 1 month and 5 days old today

Racia stood up on her high chair during her lunch today.

Mummy was caught off guard and she didn't realised till Racia stood up and was watching TV on the chair.
Mummy had a shock and immediately carried her down.

Daddy says that from now on, Racia needs to be 5 point strapped and harness down.

Milestone: Pneumococcal Vaccine
Date: 3 April 2008 - Thursday
Racia is 1 years, 4 weeks and 2 days old today

Mummy brought Racia for her 1st Pneumococcal Vaccine today at Koh T & T Clinic at Serangoon Avenue 2.

Racia was a very brave little girl, she only cried when Dr Koh pulled the needle out from her tight. Within a few minutes, she was back to her own cheery and happy self.

The 2nd vaccine will need to be taken in 2 months time.

Racia now weights 8.7kg.
